Bryan Berry Panelbeaters was established 30 years ago in premises of the city, where the company remained for 20 years, before moving to the current site in Penrose 10 years ago. Bringing on a new era of panel beating and spray painting, the name was modernised and shortened to Berry Panelbeaters and the shop giving a face lift with a new colour scheme and revamp inside.
The current site was chosen because it is close to the motorway and on a quiet street which is easily accessible for customer accessories, public and staff. Adequate off-street parking and secure storage space is available on the 9000 square metre site, which includes a 6000 square metre workshop, a 1000 square metre administration block and 2000 square metres of yard space to provide ample room to manage large volumes of work and a large variety of vehicles.
Settling in quickly to become well respected in the commercial area of vehicle repairs and quite possibly be the first to provide commercial courtesy vans, with a passion for motor vehicles and a desire to keep them on the roads a merger of the two genres came together and a commercial classic team was put together, specialising in the older truck, bus, coach and camper restoration.
Keith McEwan joined the team way back in 2000 and after many years of service was a perfect candidate to take sole charge over the establishment. Bryan himself is no stranger to the place, often popping in and offering his expert advice. And as many will know, Bryan Berry has been labelled as the "Rust Guru" for many years and is still called on for many classic rebuilds and restorations.
Keith has maintained the friendly, all welcoming environment that Bryan had started all those years ago. Being a mentor to Keith, Bryan has taught Keith firsthand the skills of the trade and the excellence that is not practiced at Berry Panelbeaters but perfected.
Keith and his team pride themselves on being honest and true to their word, communication is golden when it comes to repairing your vehicle, may it be your work truck with rust issues or your pride and joy award winning classic, every step of the process is recorded and you the customer will be informed and are always welcome to pop in and check on your machine.
Keith has an assortment of classic vehicles himself and has always leaned towards the Holden banner, having owned and restored many himself has become highly regarded with the Holden owner community. Keith carries extensive knowledge of the old girls and has many contacts when it comes to finding bits and keeping them on the road.
